Live Q&A for Actors

Have you ever had questions about your career you needed answered immediately but only had to wait hours or even days from forums to get an answer and then if it wasn't right,  you’d respond  and then have to wait all over again to see if that person or someone else will help you out one more time?

Right now, I’m sure you could find a dozen or so forums and chat rooms on the topic of acting.  I in fact am part of a few of them of them and while I’d highly recommend just a handful of those, the others just aren't worth my time even mentioning.

To my knowledge there isn't one that will have the exclusivity like that of the “Q&A” chat room here. Did I also mention that all of this is will be free?  

This invitation only group chat will be open 24 hours however there be schedule time each week where we discuss specific topics of the business and hope you can join in an be a part of the action.

Actors Diet

At what point should an actor jeopardize their health to play a role? I say none. If that character is not your type than move on to the next.

I am perfectly okay with the role asking for me to personally fluctuate and lose 20 or more pounds because I am already overweight. But that fluctuation for me would be to only go downward.

I'm in the business of life for the long run, story telling is just what I do to earn a pay check.

With that said, I'll have a skip the gravy on these country biscuits at the good ole Cracker Barrel.

Webpage Designs for Actors

This is what the header will look like for my webpage.  I believe in keeping it clean and simple as possible.  The purpose is to get agents to get my info and contact me. PERIOD.  

If fans need to contact me they can find me on twitter, facebook fan page, or any other of the bazillion social media sites out there.

In the podcast I talk about the many webpage designers that you can go with and after a few searches on Google this evening I've seen so a ton of nice ones but when it comes back to my goals, it's simple.  I want to be booked for work and not give anyone too many options to click on.  So keeping it simple is my choice.

My purpose again is for people to know how to get a hold of me and see my head shots/resume/demo reels. That's it.

Podcasting Episode 1 Introduction

Introduction

This is the first episode of the Actors Questions podcast and I wanted to document where I am at with my career and hope you follow me in this journey and watch it blossom into something crazy and wonderful.

There will be victories and pitfalls throughout this ride and I am sure there are going to be many times that I will come close to breaking down but I won't because I have no other options but to keep on keeping on.

So since this is the first of many I wanted to kind of start with a guideline of some sorts of how I will be doing the podcast posts going forward.

I'll keep the regular posts as simple, informative, and straightforward as I can.  The posts that contain a podcast embedded in them I won't write too much in them,  but mostly insert links, names, and resources of whatever I mentioned in the podcast.

Example:  This podcast I mentioned a podcast I started listening too called Inside Acting Podcast and also the an acting book I picked up was called The Organic Actor by Lori Wyman.

Podcasting for Actors

I''m going to start podcasting as this will make it easier for me to reach you and get my journey documented down easier.

I haven't decided on a frequency but I am thinking every two weeks on Tuesday to get you up to speed.
Here's the logo I came up with this morning for the show.  Something simple and straight to the point.

It's an actors questions podcast. So I'll leave it as that.
Next post I'll dive in more about who I am and why I put this together.  I just wanted to set this up and kind of test blog so please bear with me on this post as it's just kind of a template.

Next post I'll edit my first podcast and give you my intro.  Thanks!
